I am a swirling. Hubby is out of town and I am on my own with, tennis matches, (Austin got 2nd place in his 3rd or 4th tennis tournament of his life) , dance camp (Rachel needed 4 costumes for a performance tomorrow on the last day), the main soccer tournament for our team, (beginning today, we won 2-0) next game tomorrow, new school dedication, and the calls for starting up Sept. "can you run this, can you help out with that, can you make up this and distribute." I read this really sad article in ""More Magazine about this woman that was a true women's liber. Not mentioning any names, she sadly said she never wanted to stay home with her children and never win another case and always be dependent on a man just to wipe dribble off her kids face when needed. Yeiks! I wonder if she is still married. When I first took this role as a "stay at home mom" on I would pray so hard for God to show me this was the right thing to do and stay home with my children. It took a year but, I now know that I am doing the right thing. Children would much rather be around their parents than confined to a day care. Not everyone is as priviledged as I am to have this opportunity. I thank God for that each and every day! Besides it is not the wiping of the dribble that is a problem, it is getting them to use knapkins as opposed to their shirt, shorts, table cloth, hands then clothes or anything that is not a knapkin.
Comments:
Tami, you're an incredible mom...so balanced in your love for your kids, in your boundries with them, in your roll as their teacher, mentor and care giver. I so often see you being the most loving mother and at the same time, when the childhood manipulation begins, you're completely on top of it.
I can't even tell you how much you have helped and taught me as a parent. I adore you. oxox
